Project background:

  • The Course in Spokane Valley needed a visual identity. It needed to be sleek, abstract, professional, and above all, communicate the grit and determination needed to compete at the elite level of cross country held at this new venue.

My solution:

  • I created a simple and bold icon, with several versions for use at different sizes, with and without text. I also created a comprehensive brand guide and logo package for the client’s further use.

First, I started sketching out rough ideas for the icon.

After review with our team, I narrowed and refined the logos down to a few contenders.

Once the icon was chosen, I created a few typographic examples and color palettes for the client to choose from.

Once the client chose a typeface and color palette, I finalized the logo versions (horizontal, vertical, icon only) and saved out all of the logos for the client.

I also created a comprehensive brand guide to help the client adhere to their new brand.
